Situated
in the ever changing shades of green of the foothills of the
Ebro Valley "Mountain View" enjoys stunning views and sunsets
across the valley to the El Ports mountains beyond. A haven
of peace and tranquillity yet it is conveniently only 2.5
kilometers from Ebro's principle city - Tortosa.
"Mountain
View" is an excellent self-catering rental property with it's
own swimming pool. The bedroom has an en-suite shower room
and it is complimented with a spacious and welcoming open
plan kitchen/dining/living room and wood burning fireplace
in the corner. Relax on the large sofa bed and enjoy terrestrial
television, watch a DVD or listen to music while having a
quiet read during siestas.

In
a wonderful setting, surrounded by terraced Olive, Carob and
Pine trees slopes, "Mountain View" offers a cool and comfortable
retreat from the heat of the Catalan sun. "Mountain View"
is the private, ground floor apartment (only one step into
it) attached to Ian and Pauline´s home, with direct access
to their grounds.
The
gardens are embraced with colourful flora, shrubs and cacti.
Guests can enjoy two terraces, one for those alfresco meals
in the shade of Pine and Olive trees and uninterrupted views
to the El Ports magnificent mountain ranges. The other one
(with gentle steps) for soaking up the sun by the pool. Both
are equipped with furniture for your outside enjoyment.

Ebro Mountain
View is a place to reflect and relax, or for the more curious
tourist to explore our wonderful Baix Ebre area of Southern
Catalonia. The Ebro Delta is a paradise for birdwatchers but
you don't need to stray from their grounds to see Hoopoes
and the occasional soaring eagle.
The city
of Tortosa is rich in history. The cities of Barcelona and
Valencia are only 2 hours away and so easy to visit on the
train network with no nightmares of finding parking in the
cities.

"Ebro
Mountain View" is only a few minutes drive away from the
renowned River Ebro so fishing for Giant Cat and Carp is
something really worth undertaking - even for a novice.
We can arrange trips out with experience fishing guides
(prices are separate) and fishing licences run about 20
euros. We do need advance notice for this activity.

For nightlife
there are fine restaurants, "tapas" bars and fiestas. There
seems to be a fiesta somewhere around every week of the season.
The Catalan people need little excuse to take to the streets
and party. Tortosa is host to some of the finest festivals,
including the fabulous La Santa Cinta - a week long spectacular.
Something
to appeal to everyone´s tastes and energy levels. Where memories
and friends are made and new places discovered, where you
will definitely want to revisit again and again.

The
Costa's Dorada and Azuhar are within a 30-minute drive.
Each Costa has its own identity but they both have quiet
coves and long sandy bays. Or combine a visit to the beach
with the Knights Templar castle and old town at Peniscola.
Plus the theme park at Port Aventura is only 45 minutes
away if children are sleeping on the double sofa bed.
For
the walker or cyclist we have flat routes, including the
Via Verde (a disused railway that runs from Tortosa to the
old station at El Pinell de Bray), to more demanding trails.
There is something for everyone, regardless of ability.

The
owners request no smoking indoors in the interest of future
guest enjoying breathing in clean air.
Sofabed
is new and big and comfortable even with two people (especially
kids) in it.
